Philosophy
My teaching style places a high priority on student involvement with the goal of making economics come to life and helping students relate to economics in order to understand its effect on their lives.
Welcome
My hope is that this website will keep you apprised of what we are doing in your son's or daughter's Economics class here at BHS. This course will cover the social science, concerned with the way society chooses to employ its limited resources, which have alternative uses, to produce goods and services, for present and future consumption. Lessons learned from history can be applied through practical application today. Students can expect to make connections from the past to understand the present and make predictions about the future. It is vital to understand that you do have a role and purpose in our society.
I hope this web site is helpful to all who choose to use it. It is designed to supplement classroom instruction so you will be able to view all lesson presentations, videos, etc, and obtain class work and homework from this site. The class is designed to be informative and challenging, with a final exam at the end of the course to test your knowledge.
I am available by appointment for any questions that you, your son, or your daughter might have as we proceed through our course of study but to insure a faster response you may contact me through email [email protected]. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Nelson
